If you are a New Zealand school, charitable trust, incorporated society, affiliated sports club or another type of not-for-profit organisation we can help you apply for funding and manage your administration processes.
We work with a wide spectrum of client groups including those in the following sectors:

Education
TMS’s work within the NZ educational sector encompasses a wide range of entities ranging from pre-schools to secondary schools, Alternative education providers and various education models, both in the North and South Island. With a large educational sector client base, the type of funding applications we are asked to prepare vary greatly.
Common examples are ICT devices, reading books, swimming lessons, sports equipment and uniforms, Kapa Hapa uniforms, robotics, audio equipment, musical resources, sport trips and camps. We also undertake applications for large scale projects such as school pool upgrades, fitness trails and court resurfacing.
Sport and Recreation
TMS staff are keen sports-minded people, and are involved in a voluntary capacity with local sports clubs and recreation organisations. This gives staff a close insight to the local sports scene, and we have built strong links with many sporting clubs as a result.
Common examples of funding work undertaken for this sector include playing uniforms, tournament trips, specialised sports equipment, affiliation fees and wages for key personnel. Larger projects, such as building or altering facilities are also an area where TMS has helped sports and recreation organisations source funding to create lasting amenities for their members and the community.
TMS provides administration management services to several sports clubs.
Arts and Culture
The funding requirements of arts and cultural organisations ranges from operational expenses to facility upgrades and production related expenses. We work with art and cultural groups and actively support the arts within Christchurch. In addition, we have experience with organisations involved in staging local community festivals.
Social Services and Health
TMS has a number of social service organisation clients, including community centres and various community based organisations providing health and well-being programmes in schools and local communities.
Typically funding for these organisations relates to operational expenses, including staff wages, rent, accounting, training and vehicle costs. TMS has also been involved with sourcing funding for alterations to amenities that better serve local community users. TMS staff are active volunteers in the social services sector, and are well versed in identifying suitable funding opportunities for the sector.
TMS also provides administration management services to this sector of clients.
The nature of sports organisations is that they are often reliant on committee volunteers to run the organisation, volunteers who are also engaged with coaching, managing and other parts of the club. Avon Hockey has partnered with Thea Mickell Services for over 4 years, and they have provided us fantastic assistance in funding important projects and growth of our proud hockey club. This frees up valuable time for myself, as Treasurer, to attend to the time intensive administration/finance work required to keep our club operating.
Thea and her team provide exceptional and professional service to our club to support our operation. We primarily work with Alison Black who is extremely knowledgeable of our needs and is always quick to provide excellent funding recommendations to us. She has at many times dropped everything for us to provide urgent funding support for our club. We have no hesitation recommending Thea and her fantastic team to support your organisation!
